This project seeks to create a relaxing and functional holiday home for a professional couple in their 30s. It picks up on the couples interests in art and culture, along with their love for entertaining guests. The home finds inspiration in Japanese and Scandinavian design to enhance the feeling of a retreat and encourage relaxation away from the city. Together with a minimalist approach, the space allows the client to unwind and recharge along with the possibilities to entertain a smaller number of guests. Natural materials and sculptural details subtly complement the space and ties in with the interests of the clients, as well as reinforces the aim of relaxation.
