Easy to care for Houseplants

A big part of scandinavian design is nature in its many forms. Weather it’s in the materials, shapes or plants. Adding plants to a room is a great way too bring interiors to life and create relaxing spaces, however it can feel like an enormous task if you’re not used to it. Choose easy to care for plants and start small. Once you start you will soon want to bring in more.

Following are 4 plants that not only adds a sculptural touch to the interior but also helps keep the indoor air clean.

Snake plant -

with its sculptural leaves it has become a big of a trend plant the last few years. In a beautiful pot or basket it makes a perfect addition to minimal interiors or for no fuss-People. It doesn’t require a lot of light and can survive being forgotten every now and then, go easy on the water and make sure not to overwater.



Pothos -

pothos is another easy to care for plant that will do well in both low light and bright light interiors. It’s trailing stems are perfect for framing windows or falling down shelves and creates a nice scene of greenery without too much hassle. The pothos can also be placed in the bathroom since it can tolerate low light and the moist environment


Peace lily -

a plant listed by NASA’s clean air study is the peace lily, which helps to keep the air clear of pollutants. Full of green leaves and white leaf-like flowers during summer, the peace lily will tell you when it needs some water by the dropping tips of the leaves. For best results keep close to a window with ample light but no direct sunlight and water around once a week or when leaves start to droop. Keep in the bedroom to make sure you sleep with good quality air.

Zz Plant -

the zz plant is another sculptural plant that does well in both low light bathrooms and bright living rooms. It helps keep the air clean and doesn’t need a lot of watering, let it dry out slightly between waterings. Adding a nice pot or vase will create another beautiful corner in any interior.
